There are certain foods that will be bad for your cat. Some may simply cause digestive problems, while others may be toxic. For example:

  • Raw foods. The meat or fish you feed your cat should be cooked first. No matter how much your kitty meows when you are with raw fish or meat, you should not give it to her. This is because they may have bacteria that are killed by cooking.
  • Fats. High-fat foods are harmful to cats. If you feed this type of food, your cat may have digestive problems that will be very painful for them and may endanger their health. Butter, bacon and other very fatty foods could cause illnesses such as pancreatitis.
  • Sal. Processed foods often have a high salt content that will be very harmful to your cat. This type of food can affect your renal system and cardiovascular system. Salt will be harmful to your cat if ingested frequently and in excess. That is, you should avoid feeding your cat any kind of sausages and canned foods.

  • Chocolate. Chocolates contain a toxin known as theobromine. It is toxic for the kittens and can cause vomiting, diarrhea, tachycardia, convulsions and, in more extreme cases, even death. Avoid at all costs giving any food containing chocolate to your cat.
  • Dairy. Contrary to popular belief, many cats are lactose intolerant. Therefore, if you give them milk, it can cause vomiting and diarrhea.
  • Onions and garlic. Onions, garlic and leeks contain thiosulfates. This substance can cause anemia in cats. It may also cause vomiting and diarrhea.
