Benefits of fruit
The fruit has vitamins and is a source of fiber. So, always in moderation, there are fruits that are very beneficial for dogs. This is the case of pears and apples. In addition to being digestive and moisturizing, in the case of apples, they bring cleanliness to the animal’s mouth. Other fruits such as bananas or blueberries, in the opinion of veterinarians, provide our friend with antioxidants and fiber.
Mangoes, papayas, melon, apricots and plums, as well as oranges can also be consumed by dogs. We are always talking about offering them in small quantities. Balanced feeds lack the antioxidants present in fruit that benefit dogs.
Precautions
On the other hand, it is advisable to consult a veterinarian in case the dog has any circumstances in which the fruit could be harmful. Certain fruits, such as grapes and raisins, are best avoided. Also be careful with the seeds and pips that you should remove before giving the fruit to the dog. And remember, always in small quantities.
