Well, it has to be done. Dogs have their food and we must respect it if we want to take care of our furry friends.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What foods should be avoided?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Broadly speaking, you should be careful with <strong>chocolate<\/strong> (it causes heart attacks in large quantities), <strong>milk<\/strong> (most animals are lactose intolerant!), <strong>ham and other salted meats<\/strong>, <strong>avocados<\/strong> (very fatty), <strong>onions<\/strong>, <strong>raisins<\/strong> and <strong>grapes<\/strong> and, although you may find it hard to believe, <strong>bones<\/strong>. Try not to give them poultry bones because they can splinter and hurt their throat and stomach.<\/p>\n<p>It is common sense, on the other hand, not to give them <strong>caffeine<\/strong> or <strong>alcohol<\/strong>, because if it wreaks havoc in humans, imagine what it will do to your pet&#8217;s nervous system.<\/p>\n<p>We are what we eat&#8230; and so are dogs!  <strong>Keep an eye on their feeding.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A healthy diet is not only recommended for humans: animals also need, as you know, a balanced nutrition, appropriate to their species and constitution.
